Studio Infinite Lives

Welcome to Habi Sloth ("the App"), a habit-tracking app operated by Studio Infinite Lives, LLC ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the App you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Agreement

These Terms are an agreement between you and Studio Infinite Lives, LLC. When we make material changes we increment the Terms version and ask you to review and re-accept them before you continue using the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App, and at least 16 if you are in the EEA or the UK unless local law allows a lower age. You must also be able to enter into a binding agreement where you live.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information, and you may hold only one account.

You may delete your account at any time from within the App (Settings → Account Management → Delete Account). Deletion is scheduled 30 days ahead by default and can be cancelled by signing in during that window; you may instead choose immediate deletion, which begins at once and cannot be cancelled. The Privacy Policy, section 7, describes exactly what is deleted and what may remain.

4. Acceptable use

Habi Sloth is for personal habit tracking and shared ("coop") habits with people you invite. You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose or to harass, abuse, or harm others.
Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the App or its backend services.
Upload content, display names, or habit descriptions that are illegal, abusive, or infringe the rights of others.
Scrape or bulk-collect other users' data, or access the App with automated clients rather than the App itself.
Circumvent our abuse protections or rate limits (including App Check).
Attempt to earn or alter credits by any means other than ordinary use of the App.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Shared ("coop") habits and friends

When you host or join a coop habit, your progress counts and display name are shared with the other members of that habit so the shared goal can be tracked. Sending an invitation reveals your display name to the person you invite. Only join or share habits with people you trust, and choose carefully who you invite. You are responsible for the content you contribute to a shared habit.

6. Your content and licence

You retain ownership of the habits, notes, and other content you create. You grant us a limited licence to store and process that content solely to operate and improve the App (for example, to sync your data across devices and compute your completion statistics).

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely to improve the App, with no obligation to you and no compensation.

7. Credits

The App awards credits based on your completion percentages. Credits are a free, in-app motivational score. They have no monetary value, cannot be bought, sold, transferred, or redeemed for anything, and are not your property. We may adjust, expire, or revoke credits — for example to correct an error in the ledger or to reverse abuse. Because nothing is sold, there is nothing to refund. If we ever offer paid features, separate terms will cover them.

8. Availability, changes, and your data

The App is offline-first and syncs your data through Google Firebase. We work to keep the App available and your data safe, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, or that data will never be lost. Please treat the App as a helper, not a system of record for critical information.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account if you breach these Terms; when an account ends, access stops and data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Habi Sloth is a motivational tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, mental health, or other professional advice. Do not rely on it in place of a qualified professional.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Studio Infinite Lives, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or US$50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; where that is the case, they apply only to the extent permitted.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Studio Infinite Lives, LLC from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of the content you contribute, your misuse of the App, or your breach of these Terms.

12. App store terms

If you obtained the App from the Apple App Store or Google Play:

Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms, and we — not they — are solely responsible for the App.
The store operator has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the App, and gives no warranty for it.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
You must comply with the store's own terms of service, and you confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US embargo or on a US restricted-parties list.

13. Governing law and disputes

If you have a problem, please email us first at hello@infinitelives.io; we will try to resolve it informally within 30 days. If we cannot, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [TBD — state of formation], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located there. Nothing here removes any right you have under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country where you live.

14. General

If any part of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets; you may not assign them. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us about the App. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will increment the Terms version and ask you to review and re-accept them before you continue using the App. Continued use after acceptance means you agree to the updated Terms.
